Section 01 · Public Positioning
How Accenture Security positions publicly
Accenture Security is the cyber practice inside Accenture, the global systems integrator. The offensive line has grown partly through acquisition (per Accenture's own announcements) and operates inside the wider Accenture delivery machine.
Section 02 · Market Read
Where Accenture Security actually plays
Accenture sells cybersecurity the way a global SI sells everything: large, multi-year, partner-led programs delivered through a pyramid. Senior partners scope and sell; managers and consultants deliver against a methodology playbook, drawing on a global delivery bench. The offensive practice is genuinely capable, particularly inside transformation programs, but the buying motion is built for multi-quarter programs, not a scoped pentest with a one-week report cycle.
Section 03 · Where We Fit
Where Alacrinet sits next to them
We are not a systems integrator and have no ambition to be. If you want offensive testing wrapped into a global cyber transformation program, sitting next to identity modernization, SOC redesign, and managed detection, Accenture's structure exists for exactly that. If you want a senior operator on a defined scope with a fast turnaround, working directly with your security team and answering email within the day, that is the model here.
Section 04 · Side By Side
Side by side, on the dimensions that actually separate us
| Dimension | Alacrinet | Accenture Security |
|---|---|---|
| 01 Firm shape | Focused offensive services firm. | Global systems integrator with a cyber practice inside it. |
| 02 Delivery model | Senior operator scopes and runs the engagement. | Partner-led sales, manager-led delivery, execution from a global consulting bench. |
| 03 Engagement shape that fits | Defined-scope engagements measured in weeks. | Multi-quarter programs measured in deliverable phases. |
| 04 Procurement weight | MSA plus SOW, signed quickly. | Enterprise MSA, master rate card, statement of work, change control discipline. |
| 05 Pricing posture | Mid-market accessible, scope-priced. | Enterprise SI pricing, quoted off a master rate card. |
Section 05 · Buyer-Side Honesty
When each firm is the right pick
When Accenture Security is the right pick
- You are running a multi-year cyber transformation and want offensive testing inside that program rather than alongside it.
- You already have an Accenture MSA and need to consolidate spend on existing paper.
- You need global delivery across many regions and languages with a single accountable partner.
- Your buying process requires a top-tier SI brand on the cover for board, audit, or regulator reasons.
When Alacrinet is the right pick
- You want a pentest, not a program.
- You want the senior operator on the call, not a partner who hands off to a delivery team you have not met.
- You want defined scope, fast turnaround, and unlimited retest written into a tight SOW.
- You want enterprise-grade depth without enterprise SI overhead on the invoice.
Section 06 · The Tiebreaker
How to decide without a bake-off
Send the twelve-question checklist to both firms and require written answers in the proposal. The answers will sort the fit faster than a demo or a sample report. If Accenture Security is the right call for your scope, the checklist will say so. If we are, the same checklist will say that too.
Section 07 · Frequently Asked
Frequently asked questions
Q1 Can you handle global delivery?
For offensive testing across multi-region environments, yes, run from US-based senior operators. For physical engagements requiring on-site presence in another country, we will tell you up front whether the scope fits our model or whether a global SI is structurally better.
Q2 Is the price difference really that material?
In the comparable scopes we have personally been bid against, our fee has come in well below the enterprise SI rate card for the same offensive work, before counting the procurement overhead an enterprise engagement carries. Your numbers will depend on scope, so the right framing is total cost of getting the answer, not just the rate card. Ask both firms to put the figure in writing.
Q3 What about Accenture's threat intel?
Their intel is real and their global telemetry is genuine. If first-party intel is the reason you are talking to them, that is a fair reason. For the offensive testing line specifically, the testing depth lives in the operator on the keyboard, not in the firm's intel program.
